Gaper day is the day of the year where locals dress like gapers/jerrys and act the part of these stereotypes (total idiots). Typically Gaper day will take place in the later season when the weather is warmer and will involve a nontrivial amount of pond skimming. Gaper day has been reported as one of the funnest days of skiing you can have on the mountain.
