What does Gaper Gap mean in ski/snowboard slang

A gaper gap is defined as the gap that exists between the helmet (or hat) and goggles on a gaper or jerry. This is cause by improper use and wear of both the goggles and the helmet. The gap consists of exposed forehead and sweaty hair. The acceptable size of this gap is zero.
