It’s been a long time since new text has been seen here. Digital tumbleweed has accounted for at least a third of site hits since last year’s work be and the other two thirds were wayward keyboard surfers looking for directions and a couch to crash on. This dark time has come to an end my friends and let me tell you why. This site not only informs potential visitors of the incredible experience that awaits them should they ever set ski to snow at our most excellent rec site. It also serves as tangible proof to our sponsors that the money they generously provide translates into exposure to potential customers or at the very least, gives a metric of their service to the community in which they do business. I know your screen time is precious. With so many videos of cats crawling into fishbowls people walking into inanimate objects why should you spend any of it here? The reason my LOLcat video watching friends is this. Our sponsors keep the road to Hankin plowed, the outhouse open, and the firewood stockpiled. By coming here and looking at this very post your eyeballs, in their way plowed that road, and chopped a winter’s worth of firewood. Have your eyes been going to the gym? They must have because that is impressive.Enough talk. Here is a picture of Hudson Bay Alpine as viewed from town on August 20, 2015. So much snow!
I now turn the conversation over to you intrepid recreation site users. Now that our website is back in a state of producing content we at the BBSS would like to know what kinds of things you would like to see here. Let us know in the comments or contact us at BBSkiSociety@gmail.com
Thanks for the eyeballs!Ben Ambrose,Vice Chair Bulkley Backcountry Ski Society
